Boarding Warnings

Pet Warnings help alert staff to important information before a pet's appointment begins. You can create a general warning that appears for all appointments, as well as a Boarding-specific warning that is only displayed for Boarding appointments.

Adding a General Pet Warning

  1. Open the pet's profile.
  2. Select the Notes tab.
  3. Enter the warning in the Warning field.
  4. Click Save.

📝 NOTE: General warnings will appear on all appointment types for the pet.

Adding a Boarding Warning

  1. Open the pet's profile.
  2. Click the Boarding tab.
  3. Enter the warning in the Board Warning field.
  4. Click Save.

When creating or viewing a Boarding appointment, any General Pet Warnings and Boarding Warnings will appear at the top of the appointment screen, helping staff quickly identify important information before checking the pet in.


💡 QUICK TIP: Use Boarding Warnings for information that is only relevant during a boarding stay, such as mobility concerns, escape risks, or special housing requirements.

You are also able to add, modify, or delete the warning message from the appointment screen.


Running the Pet Warnings Report

To view a report of pets with Boarding Warnings:

  1. Navigate to Boarding > Reports > Pet Warnings.

To print the report, click on Boarding, Reports.



The report displays each pet with their Boarding Warning, making it easy to review important boarding-related notes.

Common Use Cases

  • Alerting staff to medical conditions or mobility concerns.
  • Identifying pets that require special handling or housing.
  • Recording behavioral warnings, such as jumpers or escape artists.
  • Providing important reminders that should be reviewed before a boarding stay.
