<div>When a client informs you that a pet has passed away, you can mark the pet as deceased rather than deleting the pet profile. This allows you to retain historical records while clearly identifying the pet's status throughout the system.</div>

<h2>Mark a Pet as Deceased</h2>
<ol data-spread="false" start="1">
<li>Open the pet profile.</li>
<li>Click <strong>Edit</strong>.</li>
<li>Mark the pet as <strong>Deceased</strong>.</li>
<li>Save your changes.</li>
</ol>
<p>Once marked as deceased, the pet will remain in your database and historical records will be preserved.</p>

<h2>View the Deceased Pets Report</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">To view a list of all pets marked as deceased:</p>

<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Reports &gt; Lists &gt; Deceased Pets</strong></p>
<p>This report provides a list of pets that have been designated as deceased within your database.</p>

MARK A PET AS DECEASED

 1. Open the pet profile.
 2. Click Edit.
 3. Mark the pet as Deceased.
 4. Save your changes.

Once marked as deceased, the pet will remain in your database and historical records will be preserved.

VIEW THE DECEASED PETS REPORT

To view a list of all pets marked as deceased:

Navigate to:

Reports > Lists > Deceased Pets

This report provides a list of pets that have been designated as deceased within your database.
