Settings are the same for all modules (Boarding, Grooming, Daycare, Special Services).
You can customize the settings for Client Portal and Online Reservations.
Click on Online Reservations, Use & Registration.
Check the modules to be available for OLR.

Next, set your options for how clients will signup for the portal.

For existing clients: When clients sign up for Client Portal/OLR, they must enter their name, phone number and email address. KC will check to see if you have a client called this name with either this phone number or email. If it can’t find a match, the best option is to have the client call you as most likely you don’t have the most up-to-date information on file. It’s recommended that you don’t allow CP to create a client record as it will be a duplicate record and you’ll need to take time to fix that.
For new clients: You can enable/disable the ability for new clients who have never been there before to sign up for Client Portal. You can require approval so they go into a Pending list for you to approve before they are added to your database. You can require new clients add an emergency contact when signing up.
The next section is setting what clients can do once logged in.

Hide Documents – With this option unchecked, clients are able to upload documents, vaccine records, waivers, contracts, etc.
With this option checked, this option will be hidden. Clients can still upload records while making an online reservation appointment if that option is enabled.
IMPORTANT: If you attach a document in KC, the client can see and open that document through the portal. Documents are mostly contracts, waivers and vaccine records. But if you are concerned there is a sensitive document that you would not want a client to see, this option needs to be turned on.
Allow clients to make appointments – This enables OLR as soon as the client has a login for the portal.
Allow existing clients to add pets – Some businesses have certain procedures when a client has a new pet. If this option is enabled, the client can add a pet and immediately add an appointment if that option is also enabled. If you need to meet the pet first, do a temperament test or have the client sign paperwork before the first appointment is made, this option needs to be turned off.
Disallow clients to add/remove photos – Clients can add photos through Client Portal and this will show for the business in KC. Disable this option if needed.
There are more options under the General tab.
Format phone number - This will format the phone correctly if the client doesn't do it when registering as a new client.
Require vet information - This requires the client choose a vet when adding a new pet. It can only be a pet already in your setup. You can add a vet such as Other Vet or Unknown Vet under Setup, Lists, Vets, if needed, so the client can choose something while adding their pet.
